Maxwell Alexander Drake, or Drake as he prefers to be called, is an award-winning Science Fiction and Fantasy author. His first novel, Farmers & Mercenaries – Book One of the Genesis of Oblivion Saga, was released in June of 2009 and won both a 2009 Moonbeam Young Adult Fantasy Award for Excellence in Literature, as well as being named Dragon Roots Magazine’s Best New Fantasy Saga of 2009.Book two of this saga, Mortals & Deities, was released in September 2010 to an ever-growing fan base. It has received wonderful reviews from both critics and fans alike and is up for several awards currently.Book three of this series, Dreams & Nightmares,is scheduled for release in summer of 2011.The Way of the Lion – A Genesis of Oblivion Saga Short, was published in the 2010 Dragon Root’s Magazine’s Gen-Con author’s collection Missing Pieces and took their Honored Spot. Aeonian Legends: Immortal Bloodlines is a Graphic Novel being released at Comic-Con 2012. It is one of three collaborative projects Drake is working on with award-winning artist Cyril van der Haegen. In addition to more installments of this series, the two are also working on a satirical fairy-tale illustrated novel and a Cthulhu zombie western graphic novel series. As if his professional projects do not keep him busy enough, he teaches creative writing classes at writers’ conferences around the country, as well as for the Clark County Library District in Las Vegas.
