Our 2011 Time Traveling Victorians’ Museum

Welcome, Weary Traveler! You have braved the desert heat, and the sin and temptation of the world outside. Come into our time/space continuum and behold many steampunked wonders.
Here in the Victorian Time Travelers’ Museum, we invite you to explore many wonders and treasures of our era. Good Queen Victoria has graced us with an age of glamour and style, and the magic of modern steam technology allow our adventurous hosts to journey to the far past and the unthinkable future, bringing back unique, beautiful and possibly dangerous artifacts for our edification and enjoyment.
In one corner, we present a Cabinet of Curiosities writ large. You may examine an intricate clock face from the tragic Juliet’s home in 14th Century Verona or our own Sherlock Holmes’s cane or, for the fans of industry, steampunk flying conveniences, etc. Then there are the pieces we don’t know how to place or date – a fragment of a wooden blue door which reads “POLICE TELEPHONE” and posters from something known as“moving picture” for the Three Musketeers, Zorro, The Duelist and more!
Around the room, we have on display the unique and beautiful art work of Tadao Tomomatsu. Immerse yourself in the many worlds his paintings present.
For the fashion aficionados, unique garments will be on display. Our enterprising hosts have indicated to us that many of you might have a piece of futuristic technology allowing you to “photograph” yourself “in” many different assemblages.
In another corner, take part in a Tableau Vivant. Perhaps you would like to pilot a ship in an airship battle? Or take a moment and become a member of the prestigious Steam Federation?
Journeying Roma have set up a tent in our space displaying treasures from the Mysterious East. Perhaps you will admire an exotic weapons collection or rocket powered camel saddle, but beware Yargoth, the Forgotten Guardian.
Young adventurers coming with you? Excellent! We have special events just for them:
* Steampunk dress up! Kid’s only costume contest – 14 and under
* Interactive Story Time – kids can help decide the fate of our hosts as they travel from the time of dinosaurs to far into the future
* Coloring station with brass rubbings
Around the Con in 80 minutes!
* Treasure hunting around the con in 80 minutes . . . a scavenger hunt all throughout the convention return the map with all the stamps and win a prize from Tom and Chris Adventures.

* Shoot all targets and/or opponents before you are terminated.

* Attending the Time Traveler’s Ball on Saturday night? Need something extra to make your outfit perfect? Well, for only $5, you can make a steampunk mask with the art supplies provided and you take away a unique and special souvenir of the event!
Meet & Greet Abney Park
* Captain Robert, Kristina, and Jody of Abney Park, will be on this panel to discuss the origin and evolution of their band and to field questions from the audience about their musical influences and directions.
Steampunk Sorcerers Dueling Society – Thrilling Wand Duels!
* Kids of all ages will have the chance to duel one another in the world of our Steampunk Magic Academy’s dueling society . . .
