This panel brings together decades of experience in Hollywood to discuss how to bring realistic Western martial arts to the screen. You’ll hear many behind the scenes stories on some of the biggest films of our lifetime.

Panel will include: Anthony DeLongis, Nick Gillard, Kyle Rowling, Tony Wolf, Robert Chapin and Robert Goodwin. Moderated by Bryce Bermingham.

Learn how different weapons work, the kinds of wounds they leave, and debunk some of the standing myths. Participants are encouraged to come with questions like:

Creating your Steampunk Universe – Living an Alternate History

We will explore a process whereby an individual may construct their own personal storyline and context within the Steampunk world through story development, character creation, technological assessment, and the integration of actual places, people and wonders of the real world in which we live. The adventures of Major Vostok and the founding of the Pacifica Air Fleet will be used to illustrate how to create a niche for your character that fits into the surreal world of Steampunk fashion and technology.

We will admire the visionary Writers and Directors who created these wonders of the silent and sound eras. We will praise the great Fencing Masters who inspired us with their swordplay. We will hear stories of our panel members as to their favorite films and how they shaped our lives. We will do all this in one hour or die trying.

We are usually so busy listening to their great music that we don’t stop and find out about the musicians themselves!  Take this opportunity to meet three of the members and find out what it was like to creat a Steampunk band before there was even a Steampunk movement!

The Hunted: Sword Slingin’ and Vampire Slayin’

The Hunted is a sword-slinging, vampire slaying reality web series that’s been described as a cross between “Buffy” and “Cops”. Not only is “The Hunted” one of the longest running shows on the internet, it’s also the first show based on user content, which means episodes can be shot by virtually anyone anywhere.
The panel will discuss the role of combat choreography and swordplay in the show, the training required, shooting styles and weapon selection. The panel will also serve as a brief scene for The Hunted episode being shot at the convention.

From the Montgolfier’s first balloon to the amazing creations of Count von Zeppelin and on to the airships of tomorrow a look at the evolution of the airship as a mode of transportation and cultural icon.
