I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking “Golly gee, this CombatCon sure sounds swell!” And you’re right. It’ll be the swellest. And not just because it’s got martial arts and fantastic Featured Guests, but also because it’ll offer some seriously swell things to do. Just have a look at this list, and try to tell me it won’t be swell! It’s impossible. You won’t be able to. Really.

  • Costume Contest:

    Not only should a fighter be well versed in all manner of combat, but she/he should also be well dressed and looking daper. Strut your stuff at our Costume Contest, and prove you’re the best dressed at the event.

  • Stage Combat Competition:

    The first of its kind in the United States, this tournament will showcase original material created and performed by stage and screen fighters.

  • Martial Arts Tournaments of Skill:

    Pre-approved fighters will engage in various tournaments of skill. Watch as combatants fight with rapiers or smallswords, in armor with longsword, out of armor with longswords, or with canes and sticks.

  • Film Expo:

    Watch feature-length films, short films, webisodes, and trailers produced by independent film makers from around the country.

  • The Quickening, A Highlander Combat Game:

    It’s true, there can be only one…but are you that one? There’s only one way to find out – join in “The Quickening, a Highlander Combat Game!”

  • Film an Episode of The Hunted:

    Web series “The Hunted” will be filming an episode at CombatCon! You may have the opportunity to be a part of it, or see how an episode gets filmed!

  • Fun for the Whole Family:
  • Bring the kids and enjoy a day of family fun. There will be lot of activities for kids of all ages! Children 12 and under admitted FREE with a paid adult registration.

  • Art / Artists Gallery:
  • Enjoy phenomenal artwork created by some of the best local artists in the Vegas area!

  • Ready For Battle: Armor From Head To Toe:

    Here’s your chance to hold and move around in armour. You’ll find out how much protection armor provides, what are it’s weaknesses and what it feels like. If you’ve ever wanted to feel like a knight, this is your chance! For girls and boys of all ages, from youngsters to our honored citizens.

  • Cold Steel presents a Sword Handling Session:

    Hold actual, combat-ready swords! Learn how to manipulate the weapon, how much they really did weigh and so much more! For girls and boys of all ages, from youngsters to our honored citizens.

  • Games:

    Try your hand at boffer fighting, card games, or pirate tavern games. You may even get to fight a Jedi in a lightsaber duel. Fun for the whole family!

  • Whips & Knives:

    This interactive demonstration will bring together two teachers at the top of their fields. Anthony Delongis with the Whip and Jack Dagger throwing knives. Learn the secrets of their uniques approach to each weapon and maybe you’ll even get a chance to try it out!

  • Knives & Axes:

    This interactive demonstration will be lead by Jack Dagger. He has been the expert on both for “Top Shots.” Now learn the secrets of his uniques approach to each weapon and maybe you’ll even get a chance to try it out!

  • Dressing For The Apocalypse:

    Monster Makeup Makeovers. Learn the magic of how to create and conceal special effects.

  • Steampunk and Leather:

    Does your leather work look a little plain? Do you have an old leather jacket, or belt, that you want to Steampunk? Come and join us as we show you hands on how to take your leather work to the next level. We will go over the basics of adding tooling, studs, rivets, staining and painting leather to release your creative talents and in the process create a badge holder to match your costume for the con. (Limited seats, Small materials fee to cover cost will apply. $20)

  • Surviving the Outbreak:

    Tool for defending yourself from Zombies. You’ll be surprised by what can become a weapon!

  • The Art of Accesorizing your Accessories:

    What do you do now that you have made your ray gun, jet pack or mechanical wings? Have you found your great granddad’s knife, dragoon or saber and wish to add it to your Steampunk costume, but don’t want to fumble with it all day long? It’s the details that make a great costume and the techniques that make it comfortable and useful to wear. Come and join us to learn the materials and methods used to make, and use, sheaths, holsters, slings, bandoliers and harnesses.

  • Choreographing a Swashbuckling Fight:

    One of the most choreographed fights throughout history is the Pirate fight. Learn a few different ways to swash your buckle in this session!
